Follow the connections
Chapters help us find our place, but an argument or story can continue across a chapter boundary. Look for a change, contrast, consequence, or repeated concern that joins today’s sections. Reading those connections can prevent an isolated line from carrying a meaning it does not have.
Good news received and resisted
Luke gives sustained attention to prayer, welcome, mercy, and the response to Jesus. Meals and encounters often reveal assumptions about who belongs. Follow the journey toward Jerusalem rather than detaching each story from Jesus' mission.
With Luke 15–17 in view: Who receives welcome or a challenge, and what does their response reveal?
Reflect on today’s passage
How does the end of the reading develop something introduced earlier?
One response
Record one connection between two parts of today’s reading.
Pray
Bring one observation, one question, and one need from today’s reading to God. Ask for understanding and wisdom to respond faithfully.
